Feeling so far away from family, at a time like this is hard. So while celebrating Rob's life in Va., I was sitting here in San Diego, an came up with this:
Another loved one has passed away,
patiently we wait for that heavenly day.
Until down below, our work is all done,
tears may fall, 'til the setting sun.
The sun will still rise that next day,
mourning still with us, wiping tears away.
Cherish the memories, all the good times had,
our loved ones would want that... please don't be sad. Think of the good stuff, and even the bad, all memories now, thoughts making you glad. Life's a long lesson, hope you're passing the test, loved ones are with us, so we can give it our best!
God, we'll get through this, by You we are all blessed!
Rob, Rob, Rob. I never got to know you as a man. Memories dating before your high school/college years, are more cherished, now, memories I'll always have. Our time at the beach, together(Pacific beach, in San Diego) are the kind made for cousins to cherish and share forever. On our last day shared day at the beach, I can remember guiding? you into the last wave of our day... almost panic-stricken, I watched as the 6-8' wall of water carried you to shore? Fearing for your safety, I followed you in on the next wave. When I came in, Rob came running my way, happier than the clamiest of clams, so excited, he had just had ridden the best wave of his life!
Fond memories of the times our family spent together will remain in our hearts forever. Rob and Eric could always find something to entertain themselves in Somerset----especially going uptown and coming back with a huge stash of candy. Rob was a very special man with extraordinary kindness and love for his family. Leslie, Bob, Ericka,
