Dear Jane:
Our friendship extends from the 'teen years of our youth, without interruption. Friends from those early times have stuck together held closely by Bob's influence. Those of us left ask you and Mark to accept our deepest condolences. We certainly miss Bob.

To the Kalisch family: Bob and I were classmates at the Air War College, class of 1971. He was a very bright guy. He always had a smile on his face, and I very much enjoyed chatting with him on numerous occasions. That was a very long time ago. I hadn't seen him since then, but I have never forgotten him. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. I hope you may find solace in his memory, and in the knowledge that he was a wonderful, accomplished human being.

Dear Mrs. Kalisch & Mark,
I was sad to read of Mr. Kalisch's passing and amazed by all about him I didn't know. He certainly had a long and accomplished life. I want you both to know how I fondly remember your family from growing up on Excalibur Court and I wish you both peace and happiness.
Sincerely,
Mark Boudreau

Dear Jane and Mark,
I was saddened to read of Bob's passing in The Washington Post yesterday. It was a very nice obituary. I remember with great fondness the day that Bob and Lew retired from the Air Force together. They had much in common, including the date of their passing. Lew passed away on Dec. 16, 1987 and we still miss him very much and I know you will have the same experience as time passes. He was a wonderful boss to Lew, as well as a dear friend. Clint and I will be going to Arlington today to lay our Christmas wreath on Lew's grave. May God help you through this difficult time and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
With much love and caring,
Bette and Clinton Lewis
In your time of distress, may these words soothe not only your hearts, but your minds, your emotions, and both your physical and spiritual health for “God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Ps. 34:18). You can read or listen to the Bible online at www.jw.org
Dear Jane,
I am so sorry to hear of our loss. Bob was a longtime friend and one of my USNA favorites. When he told me Plebe Year that you were to be married right after graduation, I said: Yeah that'll never happen. Bob said: Want tto bet? I replied: Yeah if you and Jane even remember each other four years from now much less get married get married I'll run through the lobby of the Statler Hotel in my skivvies banging a drum and yelling the British are coming. Hmmm. I never got around to paying that debt.
Bob did a superb job on our 50 Year Lucky Bag commemorating our 50th reunion. He did the research and wrote the Air Force section of the book. It was a 4.0 job that all his classmates appreciate.
Jane, my heartfelt sympathies to you and all Bob's family. He was a truly fine man, and we shall all miss him.
