Robert William Summers' Obituary
Robert William “Bob” Summers returned to The Lord on June 10, 2014.
Born Nov 4, 1937 to Leon James and Virginia Jane (Gyruko) Summers in Morgantown WV.
He was predeceased by his brother Eugene Douglas Summers.
He was a loving father to Bob Summers, Jr. of Fair Haven, NJ, Adria Frie of Waterford, VA, and Lisa Summers-Gibson of Bloomingburg, NY. He was a devoted “Apa” to 6 grandchildren.
He is a graduate of Morgantown High in 1955. He attended West Virginia University earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1960 and a MS in 1963; and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, MT, a cause near and dear to his heart ( www.stlabre.org ).
A celebration of life will be held on June 14th at 2:00 pm at the Christ Church 14861 New Valley Church Road, Leesburg, VA 20176.
