Robert Baldwin Moore, Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Baldwin Moore, Jr., 77 of Purcellville, Virginia since 2006, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Moore was born August 21, 1931 in Luray, Virginia to the late Robert B. Moore and the late Clara Stoneberger Moore. One son, Fred Ward Moore also predeceased him.
Mr. Moore served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a surveyor with the Washington Gas Company for 33 years before his retirement in 1990. Mr. Moore purchased Laurel Hill Farm, circa 1763, just out side Waterford, Virginia during 1972 and raised Black Angus cattle for many years on the side. He was a member of Catoctin Presbyterian Church, Waterford.
Mr. Moore is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Suzanne Moore of Purcellville, two sons, Robert and wife Sandra Moore, III of Falls Church, VA and Peter Moore of Raleigh, NC, one daughter, Paula Moore and husband John Harden of Middletown, MD, one sister, Josephine McCarthy of Sterling, VA; 4 grand children; 1 great grand child.
Friends may call from 10 am until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2008 at Catoctin Presbyterian Church, 15565 High St. Waterford, Virginia 20197 with the Pastor David Douthett officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA.
