Robert C. Darby's Obituary
Robert Carl Darby, 70, of Leesburg, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on April 2, 1937in Washington, DC.
He was the son of the late Carl Montgomery Darby and the late Estelle Copeland (Compher) Darby.
Mr. Darby was raised in Hamilton. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. from 1958 to 1962. He was a member of the American Legion in Purcellville, VA. Bob was a Truck Driver and then a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He is survived by his eight children; two Sisters, Jenny (Darby) Fox of Leesburg, Jeanne McGaha of Paeonian Springs, and several grandchildrens, other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one child.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Virginia. Graveside service and Interment will be held at Hillsboro Cemetery at 11:00 AM Monday, March 17, 2008.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Darby''s memory to the funeral home to defray final expenses.
