Robert Lee Spinks' Obituary
Mr. Robert Lee Spinks, 78, a life long resident of Loudoun County, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at his home in Leesburg. Mr. Spinks was born on August 14, 1930 in Loudoun County. He was a son of the late John T. Spinks and the late Vinnie L. Fletcher Spinks. Robert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He retired after many years as a Service Man with NOVEC- Northern Virginia Electric Company. Robert was a past member of the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department and an active member and Trustee for Mount Pleasant UMC in Taylorstown. He will be remembered as a caring man who loved to help those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Evelyn M. Spinks of Leesburg; his daughter, Brenda S. Collins of Lovettsville, VA; his siblings, Mary Ketron of Leesburg, and Charles Spinks of Paeonian Springs, VA; and two grandsons, Samuel and Grant Collins.
Friends may call on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2 pm at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 13266 Taylorstown Rd Leesburg, Virginia 20176
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA
