Roger Allan Harshfield's Obituary
Roger Allan Harshfield, 80, of Leesburg Virginia passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022. Services will be held at Our Savior's Way Lutheran Church Ashburn Virginia at 11am August 20, 2022 Reception will be held after the service at the same location. Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery, 2701 S Lakeport St, Sioux City, Iowa at a later date.
Roger was born on March 17, 1942 in Sioux City Iowa, son of Dale Alan Harshfield and Opal Mae Harshfield (Crouch). Roger studied Mechanical Engineering at Iowa and Iowa State University, and his career took him to Saudi Arabia, Canada and various parts of the US, then he retired in Leesburg Virginia. Roger loved to travel. He also loved country music.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Vu-Harshfield and her children Andy Nguyen and Ann Nguyen of Leesburg VA; His brothers John & wife Gloria of White Bear Lake, MN and Doug & wife Sue of Seattle WA; his children Holly Megay of Boulder CO, Robert Harshfield of Oak Park CA, and James Harshfield of Manitou Springs CO; his 8 grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Mae, and his brothers Dennis and Jeff.
He will be so missed by his friends and family.
