Kim, Thanks so much for sharing the pictures of your dad through the years. Since he was a little boy when I left home for college I really never got to know him as an adult, and since I'm seven years older than he was, we never were together much.
You must miss him terribly. Bill (Chuck) sent me his funeral service and it was beautiful. Thanks to you, I'm sure.
So sorry that you lost your father and your children lost their grandfather.

I will always remember Roger as a true and loyal friend. Some of my fondest childhood memories include him. We had great fun in everything from squirrel hunting to playing guitar. At one time, Roger, Norris Corbell and I were kind of like the Three Musketeers. My Mom and Dad almost thought of Roger as a son. I'll Miss him, but like the Righteous Brothers song says, "if there's a rock and roll heaven, you know they've got a helluva band. Rest in peace old friend.

A whole lot of very good memories with Roger and Dad. Unnaturally strong and always always always told the funniest jokes and stories. Roger helped make the hardest days seem more like a good time than work. I think I learned most about work ethic and teamwork from them while making sure you laugh at the same time. Thanks Roger, We missed that lunch.

How do I begin to write about my brother-in-law, Roger Lanham? I shall begin by saying we met in Leesburg in summer of 1960. And, since then, I have many fond memories of my “little brother”. I will always remember his quick wit, kindness and his stories told as only he could tell them. When visiting the family in Virginia, sometimes Roger and the band would be playing and listening to them play the hits of the times was so wonderful. I will always have my memories of Roger to remember. Love and God Bless. Ptayers and love to All. LINDA, and, of course, MORT, too.
