Roger Edward Payne, 80, of Hamilton, Va
Born August 6th, 1943, in Haymarket, Va, passed peacefully at his home in Hamilton on April 27, 2024.
He was a retired plumber by trade.
Roger is survived by his wife of 22 years, Frances Williams. Step daughters, Karen Settle, Leslie Lowry (Donald), Lora Mullen (John). Step grandchildren, Marshall Lowry, Michelle Washington (Todd), Lauren Deavers (Daniel), Leah Ward (Nathaniel), Lindsey Mullen, Step great granddaughters Makenzie Washington & Loralei Deavers, step great grandsons Cane Washington & Cash Washington. Brother, Gene Payne (Nancy), son, Michael Read (Kim), and grandsons Kenny Read & Colin Read, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Solomon
and Viola Pearl Miller Payne. Siblings, Aileen Woodson, Bernice Ellis, Dennis Payne, Walter Payne, William Payne, Tom Payne, Larry Payne. Step great grandson Chance Washington and his beloved Westie, Daisey.
