Roger E. "Bucky" Tribby's Obituary
Mr. Roger Edgar Tribby, Sr., "Bucky" 66, of Arlington, VA, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born on Feb. 5, 1940 in Lincoln, VA; He was the son of the late Harry F.Franklin Tribby and the late Theresa (Kitts) Tribby.
Mr. Tribby was born and raised in Loudoun County. He attended Loudoun County High School. He served his country in the U.S. National Guard.
He worked as a lead carpenter for Barber & Ross until becoming self employed. Mr. Tribby was the Owner and operator of R.T. Trucking, Inc., for 30 years.
Mr. Tribby was known as a "good ole Virginia boy,", major Nascar devotee, staunch Cowboys football fan, an avid gardener and canner. . His canned tomatoes won first prize last year in the Arlington County Fair. Bucky’s Bar-B-Q was his favorite sideline, taking his pig cooker to many parties for the best eating this side of North Carolina. He loved to cook as well and had the best BBQ. He will be remembered as the life of the party and his good Samaritan ways..
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Linda Berard Tribby of Arlington, VA; his Daughter-Vicky (Tribby) Watson of Leesburg, VA,
Three sons: Roger E. Tribby, Jr. & daughter-in-law: Becky of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kevin Tribby of La Place, Louisiana, and
John John-Paul J.P.”JP” Tribby and mother-in-law: Margaret E. Berard, both of Arlington, VA.
He is also survived by one Ssister-, Peggy Hawks of Cantonment, FL; Two brothers, Sonny Tribby of Fairfax, VA, and Buddy Tribby of Bunker Hill, WV,;
Five grandchildren: Conor Tribby of Edmond, OK, Jack & Josh Watson of Leesburg, Dawn Michelle Tribby of Poquoson, VA, and Kevin Lee Tribby of Peublo, CO; plus other family and friends.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Phyllis Glascock of Bladensburg, MD, and Betty Campbell of Leesburg, VA.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM p.m. to 4:00 PM p.m., and from 7:00 PM p.m. to 9:00 PM p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006. Funeral services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, located at 1914 N. Randolph Street, Arlington, VA, at 11:00 AM a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Graveside services and Interment will be at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA, at 12:30 p.m.
