Rolland Alan Riehn's Obituary
ROLLAND ALAN RIEHN, 64 of Ashburn, Virginia died on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Berlin, Maryland.
Born Thursday, March 10, 1960, in Edwards Air Force Base, California, he was the son of Ronald Riehn and the late Judith Carlson Fichtner.
Rolland is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years Mona Bernard Riehn, son, Ronald Joseph Riehn, and daughter, Cindy Riehn Knapp, as well as his father, Ronald Riehn, sister, Carrie Riehn Burgett, brother, Kevin Riehn and numerous members of his extended family.
Rolland was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and since leaving the military in the mid-1980s, held many positions as an engineer within the aerospace industry. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family and neighbors, and never hesitated to stop and take the time with a fellow veteran who needed to talk or anyone who may need his assistance. Rolland enjoyed long weekends at the beach, kayaking and hiking with his wife. He was an avid tool collector and the family mechanic, furthering the path he chose to help others when and where he could.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 27, 2024, at 3:00PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. The family will begin to receive guests at 2:00 PM for visitation.
