I worked with Ron at videoNEXT until I left in '08. My husband and I stayed in touch with him, meeting with him for lunch on occasion, until shortly after he retired and we were in a motorcycle accident. We tried to reconnect in late summer, but I knew the disease had advanced to a point that he could no longer respond to email.
I remember many conversations about family, religion and spirituality. Ron loved his family dearly and worked hard to make sure he left them in the best possible position at his passing, both temporally and spiritually.
He had an immense love for the congregation he belonged to at the National Cathedral and drew vast strength from those relationships. His mighty love and faith in his Heavenly Father was unshakeable and gave him the strength and capacity to face this ugly disease with dignity and integrity.
It was truly a blessing to me and my husband to have known him. He will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Julie Shannon##imported-end##
