Roselind Davis' Obituary
ROSELIND M. DAVIS, 91, of Ashburn, VA, died on Saturday, December 19, 2009 in Arlington, VA. Mrs. Davis was born November 21, 1918 in Glendale, NY to the late Charles and Elizabeth Draiss Michel. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Davis, and a daughter, Maureen E. Davis. Mrs. Davis lived in Chester, PA for 53 years before moving to the Wingler House, Ashburn, VA in 2000.
While in Chester, Mrs. Davis was active in her church and community, participating in the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord's Women’s Club, serving as Treasurer for many years, the Parish Council, and Catholic Daughters. She is survived by five children: Patricia A. Edwards of Middletown, DE; Richard A. Davis of Springfield, VA; Kathleen M. Johnson of Longwood, FL; Robert A. Davis of Leesburg, VA; and Deborah A. Davis of Rockville, MD; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
On Tuesday, December 22, 2009, the family will receive friends from 10am until 11am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 N. Randolph St., Arlington, VA.. A funeral mass will follow at 11am. Interment will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Linwood, PA at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Hospice.
