Rubin Everett Powers' Obituary
Rubin Everett Powers, 74, formerly of Prince William County, VA died on August 24th 2011 at Conway Medical Center near Myrtle Beach, SC. Everett was born in Virginia October 20th 1936 to the late Benjamin Harrison and Nellie Virginia Collins Powers. His wife Frances Marie Powers also predeceased him. He worked in Construction all his life. First he was with his brothers in Powers Brothers Construction and then he started his own company, Everett Powers Construction that he operated during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Most recently he had worked with A & A Home Building before moving the South Carolina in 2009 to be closer to his sons. Everett enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Everett Powers is survived by his two sons: Bruce Edward Powers and wife Jeannie Powers of Myrtle Beach, SC, Howard Harrison Powers and wife Brenda Powers of Conway, South Carolina, One Brother Benjamin Powers Jr. and wife Hazel Powers of Bristow Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends may call at the Colchester Free Will Baptist Church 10405 Schaeffer Lane, Nokesville, VA 20181 on Wednesday, August 31st 2011 from 4PM until time of services at 5PM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
