Ruby L. Daschil's Obituary
Ruby Daschil, 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2024, at her home in Ashburn, Virginia. She was born on September 11, 1927, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to the late William and Margaret Blake. She married Hans Daschil, the love of her life, in 1952 and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death in 2018. She is survived by her twin sister, Jessie, her two daughters, Teresa Whitehouse (Ed) and Sonia Repp (Jim), her son, Robert, and seven grandchildren, Hannah, Alex, Blake, Gracie, William, Parker, and Lillie.
Ruby was a kind, generous, and cheerful person, who always had a beautiful smile on her face. She loved her garden and was an avid world traveler. She was a devoted friend to many, and a source of inspiration and joy to her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. Friends and family are welcome to arrive at 1:30pm. Internment will be held privately.
