Ruth Dewey Meade (Age 99)
Died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Johnson Center at Falcon's Landing in Sterling, VA. Proud graduate of American University, class of 1940. Retired schoolteacher from Washington, D.C. and Fairfax County public schools. Preceded in death by her husband Buford Kelly Meade. Survived by her daughter Ellen Meade and son-in-law Robert Kahn of Bethesda, MD; grandson Gabriel Kahn of New York, NY; grandson Raphael Kahn of Austin, TX and Bethesda, MD; and many loving nieces. Memorial services and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American University, Office of Development, 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20016.
