Ruth Virginia Repass' Obituary
Ruth Virginia Repass, 83 of Paeonian Springs, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, District of Columbia. Born Thursday, November 23, 1933 in Leesburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Welby T. and Ella Mae (Ballenger) Hurst. The loving wife of Hubert “Fuzzy” Repass for 50 years.
She loved to spend her Saturday nights with Debbie, playing Bingo at the Lovettsville Fire Hall and met many of her bingo buddies there. She loved to read and was a birdwatcher especially Robins and Cardinals. Ruth loved to do her search a words and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. She loved her furry friends, Ernie, Frankie and Ellie. She also had a special place in her heart for cats. She was of the 1952 graduating class from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, VA.
Ruth is survived by three daughters: Debbie Repass (Glenn) Simpson of Brunswick, MD, Cindy Repass (Ellis) Barber and Teresa Repass (Robert) Denion, both of Middletown, MD, six grandchildren: Kevin Simpson, Kelli (Ben) Cooper, Wes (Jess) Carter, Brandon (Jen) Barber, Brooke (Kanaí) Wenman and Jacob Denion, twelve great-grandchildren: Brayden, Bristol, Ava, Owen, Henry, Cynthia, Elijah, Luke, Kekoa, Zach, Aiden and Lily, sister Barbara Decker of Paeonian Springs a special cousin Margie Beales, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson whom she had a special bond with Jordan “Jordy” Denion. He called her his “Nanny” girl.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Hamilton, VA.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
Ruth had a heart of gold and will be missed by so many people especially her loving family.
