We met Ruth this summer as my sister Kate Ward and daughter Katey Schmidt made a "quick" tour of the East coast to meet elderly relatives who had known our parents as they were growing up.
Ruth was my father's first cousin.
Ruth was a delightful and spirited woman. A pleasure to visit.

Ruth was such a lovely woman. I was able to spend an afternoon with her in August 2009 with my sister and my niece. I just loved her stories. She was my father's first cousin and he adored her. How fortunate that she had such a loving and joyful family. Ruth will be missed.

I met Ruth back in 1997 when she helped distribute homemade cookies in Market Station with other equally lovely ladies. Ruth and I visited in your home in Lansdown and she was very proud to share family stories as she identified each family in the pictures on the wall. I enjoyed her sense of humor and zest for life.
