Ruth Holland, Born 28 June 1940, in Boston Mass. And a resident of Bluemont, VA went home to be with her Lord on 6th of March 2011. Her soul lives on in her son Philip, his wife Teresa and her grandchildren, whom she adored, Rebecca Ann, Kelly Nicole and Elizabeth Rose. Her husband preceded her in passing. Ruth or Ruthie (as she was known to many who knew her) was a devoted wife, mother and servant. She touched the lives of countless individuals who need her special attention to overcome the bumps in life, providing them food and shelter and love.
Ruthie was active in the Boy Scouts, Having earned the Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. She was a pillar in the Bluemont Citizen Association and was known as the Mother of the Horseshoe Curve Benevolence Association. Ruth was the epitome of a trusted friend.
