Sam was an exceptional man who was loved by all who were fortunate to know him. His legacy is his wonderful and caring family who embraces everyone that walks through the door. He will be missed but in our hearts forever.

One profound memory I have of Sam, is when my first husband, Allen Provost, died. I felt extremely awkward at his wake, as we had been divorced for some time. Sam invited me to sit beside him, said he was going to ask his grandson to go out and get a few sodas, and would I like one. He was the only person there, other than my family, to reach out to me, and I've never forgotten it. A kind, gentle, loving man, was Sam.
