Samuel Louis Kitchen's Obituary
Samuel Louis Kitchen, age 83 of Lovettsville, VA passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Columbia in Columbia, Maryland.
Samuel was born Thursday, December 29, 1927 in Shelby, NC. He was a son of the late Samuel Sumpter Kitchen and the late Ruby Grigg Kitchen. He served his country in the US Navy.
He was employed by Baxter International as a Plant Manager until retiring in 1990. While living in Lovettsville, Samuel became an EMT and donated his time with the Lovettsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elaine Myers Kitchen.
Mr. Kitchen is also survived by his son, Gary Michael Kitchen and daughter-in-law Ruth, of Grady, NM, daughter, Amy Kathleen Korman (Lee) of Columbia, MD; a brother, Lawrence O. Kitchen (Brenda) of West Lake Village, CA, sisters, Joyce Ratliff (Don) of Columbus, OH and Shirley Blanton (Bob) of Forest City, NC.
Services and interment will be held privately at a later date.
