Sandra Rodriguez Pancoast's Obituary
Sandra Rodriguez Pancoast passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 in Leesburg, VA, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra was born in Puerto Rico to Victor and Consuelo Rodriguez. In 1975, she married R. Bruce Pancoast in New Jersey. Together, they celebrated 50 years of devoted marriage in 2025.
Sandra was an Office Manager for Lansdowne Orthodontics for 14 years until her retirement. A dedicated Jehovah’s Witness for over six decades, she remained committed to the Christian ministry throughout her life. A natural caregiver and gifted writer, Sandra was often sought out for her sage advice and her ability to touch hearts through the written word. Despite her illness and home confinement, Sandra shared daily inspirational messages and scriptures to brighten the lives of others. She was widely known for the genuine compassion and kindness she extended to everyone she met.
Sandra shared a very strong bond with her mother; she ensured Consuelo was always cared for and spoke to her every day before she passed away at age 93. Sandra was also preceded in death by her father Victor and her brother, Alfred Rodriguez.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, R. Bruce Pancoast; her three children, Dana (& Joshua) Unthank, Lauren (& Jameson) Simek, and Jordan Pancoast, and her two beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Nedra (& Lee) Hartley, Mildred (& Everett) Ward, and Manuel Rodriguez; her mother-in-law, M. Luise Pancoast; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and in-laws; her coworkers and a lifetime of close friends in various locales across the US.
