Saundra Gayle Roseberry's Obituary
Saundra Gayle Roseberry, 59, a long time resident of Leesburg, passed away 14 December 2012, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Saundra was born 11 May 1953 in Carnegie, PA the daughter of Frederick Daniel Moehring and Marjorie June Johnson. On 3 May 1975, she married David James Roseberry and they moved shortly thereafter to Leesburg, Virginia where they both worked and raised their family.
Saundra worked as a nurse at Loudoun Nursing and Rehab Center in Leesburg for over 37 years. She received several accolades for outstanding service and upon her retirement the Rehab Center staff dedicated a flower garden in her name. Concurrently with her nursing career, Saundra cared for numerous children in her home while raising her own four children. Saundra was an avid member of Girl Scouts and volunteered for many charitable causes within the Leesburg community. She loved reading, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also blessed with many siblings and a large circle of very caring friends, whom she dearly loved.
Surviving members of Saundra’s immediate family include: her loving husband David; daughter Nicole Kathleen Woodley of Waterford, VA along with her spouse Brian and their four children Andrew, Noah, Ella, and Peter; son David Glenn Roseberry of San Antonio, TX along with his spouse Maria and their four children Dylan, Peyton, Sydney, and Kennedy; daughter Rachel Marie Roseberry and son Kenneth Scott Roseberry both of Leesburg, VA. In addition, Saundra has 11 brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Thomas Moehring of Gahanna, OH and sister Juanita Moehring of Pittsburgh, PA. Surviving brothers include Richard and Harry Moehring; sisters Bessie Kwasniewski, Darlene Kightlinger, Cynthia White-Sutton, Kathleen Nicol, and Faith Lucarini, all of whom live near Pittsburgh, PA, sister Marjorie Brown of New Ipswich, NH and sister Jennifer Joyce of Athens, PA.
Saundra was a member of St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Leesburg, VA. The family has scheduled a public viewing from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, 18 December at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, S, Leesburg, Virginia.
