Shirley Fling's Obituary
Shirley Joan "JoAnn" Fling, 73, of Leesburg, Va., departed this life on Thursday, January 13, 2005, at Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, VA. Born on December 23, 1931 in Marion, VA; she was a daughter of the late John T. & Mary A. Vernon. Beloved wife of Edward E. Fling, loving mother of Linda F. Smith and son-in-law Walter, of Leesburg, VA; proud grandmother of Caroline G. Stewart & her husband Joshua C. Stewart.
She is also survived by her beloved brother Frank & sister-in-law Florence Vernon of Culpeper, and three sisters: Revonda Burke & Arlene Harrington of Falls Church; Peggy Kenney of Fredericksburg, VA; plus a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 15, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Sunday, from 2 to 6 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA, where funeral services will follow on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
Donations may be made in Mrs. Fling’s memory to any children’s charitable organization.
