You were always so kind to me over the years. You were the mother-in-law I always wished I’d had. You opened your heart and embraced me without hesitation. I find peace knowing that your suffering is over and you’ve been reunited with your loved ones in Heaven. Mom, you will be remembered fondly and always live in my heart. ~Hughette
Shirley and I were best friends growing up on Main Street in Purcellville, Va. From going to Purcellville United Methodist Church together, climbing out her bedroom window and smoking her mom's cigarette, to double dating in high school. We shared our deepest and darkest secrets. I loved her so much and will always cherish our friendship. Rest in peace with our Lord, my love! Anne Cahill
Shirley, You will be so missed. We shared a lot of great times together bowling at Village Lanes and traveling to tournaments. I will cherish those memories for ever. See you again some day, till then love always.

Growing up, I remember having so much fun visiting Aunt Shirley! Swimming at the pool, playing games, having cookouts... I always looked forward to seeing her. She always welcomed my family with open arms (and warm hugs). Even when she would make the trek up here to PA to visit us, we always had a good time. Although it is sad that she has passed away, we will always remember her. Sending love to all of my family down Shirley's way. -Joel
The wonderful memories are abundant. We shared many in the years we were neighbors with Raymond and Shirley. Lots of parties and Saturday night dances. Shirley would come over on Sat afternoon to get her hair styled for the dance at Middleburg Community Center or any other event that night. I would tease her hair up into curls - oh how we loved those beehive hairdos. Many times, Shirley and Raymond hosted our get togethers. Shirley was loving and giving and always there for others. A word to you - Ray and Debbie: Noone could ask for better caregivers than you. She was so blessed to be so loved. I know her absence leaves a huge hole.
