Shirley Mullen McKimmey's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Mullen McKimmey, 70, of Lovettsville, died Monday, December 26, 2005, at Loudoun Hospital Center. Mrs. McKimmey retired from Jefferson County Public Schools, after years of teaching. Born on May 23, 1935 in Loudoun County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Howard C. Mullen and the late Gladys (Carey) Mullen.Mrs. McKimmey the wife of the late James S. McKimmey who predeceased her in 2003.
She is survived by her Daughter, Mary Joe (McKimmey) Shoemaker of Lovettsville,
and Three Sons, Mr. Edward B. McKimmey, James S. McKimmey, Jr., and Lennox C. McKimmey, Sr., all of Lovettsville; plus Ten grandchildren, and One great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Loudoun/Brown Funeral Home, Lovettsville, Va., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday, December 29, 2005. Funeral service will be held at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2005 with Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will follow at Lovettsville Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to Christian Community Church, 12623 Harpers Ferry Road, Purcellville, VA 20132 in Mrs. McKimmeys’ memory.
