I did not know Mrs. Hon in her life but I was the deputy sheriff on scene of the collision. Her passing, a complete stranger to me, changed me forever. I felt a connection to this woman as a mom. She reminds me that we are all connected and apart of the human family. Looking at her video tribute made me wish I had known her. I will miss Sow's smile and laugh. She was a happy person who was always willing to lend a hand at work. Sow was so proud of her husband Alan and son James and I loved the pictures she shared. When I picture Sow, I see her huge smile while walking with a pep in her step. I see the glimmer in her eyes when she spoke of her dear loves, Alan and James. When I think of her character, I think of how she practiced random acts of kindness before it was in fashion. She looked out for everybody, was generous, loyal, dedicated, optimistic and in knowing her for so many years I can say that I never remember her speaking an unkind word of anyone.
