I'm so sorry I just saw this. I shared many fond and fun memories of Steph from high school. Can't believe she is gone. I will miss her dearly.
I knew Steph in high school & appreciate her encouragement through our speech class at Parkersburg Community College. We struggled together & laughed a lot! I can still hear her laugh! I admired her intelligence & humility and truly wish we'd stayed in touch. My deepest sympathy to her family. What a bright soul!
Steph was my protector when I came to work at Emergency Services. A lot of people write that they experienced her taking them under her wing. She did the same for me. She was a change agent for thr Recovery movement and change in Emergency Service. Many things changed over the years and I could always count on Steph to be the same caring person through it all. Steph had an excellent and sometimes wicked sense of humor.
She was a "wordy" person and always had a surprise saying or word from the English language to share. Steph was the one I could count on to help me when I got stumped, trying to find the right word or grammar to use while putting in notes.
I miss Steph and I'm sorry we never got to go out to eat with Belinda.
I'm sure you are somewhere in the Universe, watching your grand babies grow. I'm sorry for me that you're gone but glad that you're free from the body that made you live in pain. I hope you're having a lovely time, my friend. Until we meet again.💜
I met Stephanie many years ago and loved her the minute I met her. I will miss her since of humor and overall kindness and generosity of heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I met Stephanie on a women's retreat with Sandi Burt of Woodburn and Mt. Vernon Mental Health (when it was called that!)- so many years ago. What a great lady. Throughout the years she has been on my mind. Such a kind and funny person! She will be missed. Lisa Taylor
Stephanie was a wonderful person; she was very welcoming and always positive. She was an amazing clinician. The CSB family has missed her since she retired, however, she will be missed even more. Rest in peace dear friend.
I met Stephanie in Reston when she was working at the emergency services there. I was a new clinician for the youth and family program back in 2008 and she made me feel welcome. Stephanie was one of the nicest people I ever met at the CSB. Very caring, compassionate and very professional.
I am so sorry for your loss. She will definitely be missed . Stephanie was one of the “old timers” at the CSB. Her skills and dedication to the clients were always apparent. It takes someone special to work and dedicate so many years on behalf of individuals with mental illness.
I first met Stephanie when she worked Emergency Services in Reston. I was a newish supervisor out there and she and I talked often about the joys and challenges of being boy Moms. She later recruited me to join Emergency Services and became my first supervisor. She was a great mentor and supporter and when she believed in you she really took care of you. I've missed her since she retired and I'm saddened by the fact that I'll never get to see her smile again or hear her laughter. My condolences to her family.
I'm so sorry to hear about Stephanie. I enjoyed working with her so much over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Joan Rodgers
