Stephen Beard's Obituary
STEPHEN PALMER BEARD, 87, a long time resident of Newton, NJ before moving to Stony Creek, VA in 1990 and then Leesburg, VA in 2000, died on Monday April 9, 2007 in Leesburg. Mr. Beard was born in Nanuet, NY on June 20, 1919 to the late Stanley D. and Myra Beard. A sister, Ruth Taylor also predeceased him. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Beard received his Bachelors of Science from Yale University and pursued a carrier in Metallurgical Engineering. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Stumptown, VA.
Mr. Beard is survived by his beloved daughter: Jan and Andy Benjamin of Lucketts, VA; one sister: Nancy Forbes of Stony Creek, VA; two grandchildren: Matthew and Makayla.
Services will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church, Lucketts, VA on Friday April 13, 2007 at 4:00pm with Gay Lynn Toneli officiating. Interment will be private.
