My friendship with Steve began when I dated his roommate. We had a lot of good times, and he always made me feel better, years later, during the period when his roommate and I were on the rocks. I was happy to be part of Steve and Eileen's life when they found each other and later married. My condolences to the family, and congratulations on the kids - beautiful.
