Susan Teresa Donnelly, 66, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away peacefully in her home and surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Adored wife of 46 years to Robert Donnelly, Sr; loving mother to Robert Donnelly, II of Washington, DC, and Craig (Tammy) Donnelly of McLean, VA; caring grandmother to Olivia and Gabrielle; devoted sister to Jo Ellen Johnson and Jacqueline (Dale) Layton.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Cena Karen (Thomas) Stagg and her brother, Kenneth Michael Johnson, USAF.
Retired after 27 years as a Grant Manager with EPA.
The family received relatives and friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia. Funeral services began at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 17, 2014, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
Interment followed in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, in support of Dr. Mark Bilsky’s research in neurosurgery and tumors of the spine.
