Susana B. Thomae's Obituary
Susana Beatrice Thomae, 83, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she immigrated to the United States with her family in 1967. She was the daughter of the late Silvia and Enrique Rebagliati. Susana was the loving wife of Maurice. They celebrated their 60th anniversary last Saturday.
Susana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She held a Masters in Pharmacology (Honor Diploma). She was a dedicated teacher for 40 years in the Fairfax County Adult Education Program. She was also an avid volunteer in the Hispanic Community and served as a hostess to many young immigrants hoping for a better future. Her life was grounded in her faith.
Susana is survived by her husband, Maurice; her three children, Maria Eugenia, wife of Jorge Forgues; Cristian, husband of Tracie; and Maria del Carmen; her ten grandchildren, Nicholas; Sebastian; Christine; Mark; Cecilia; Patrick; Caroline; Aaron; Christian; and Miles; and her four great-grandchildren, Alexander; Emily; Avery; and Carter.
A ceremony to celebrate her life was held on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20177.
