Sushila Jassal's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sushila Jassal
With deep love, we celebrate the life of Sushila Jassal, who passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born in Lahore in 1934, Sushila began her career as an elementary school teacher before immigrating to the United States in 1969 with her husband, Mohan, and their two young boys, Raman and Praveen. She was a devoted, hardworking mother who built a life for her family while working across hospitals, insurance companies, and banks.
Sushila’s greatest joy was cooking and sharing authentic Indian food with the people she loved—especially her famous Punjabi sweets and rich, aromatic curries. Though she faced decades of health challenges, her remarkable inner strength and passion for life always carried her through.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Raman and Praveen, and their wives, Kamini and Manju; her grandchildren, Vineet, Akash, Neil, and Shawn; and her great-grandchildren, Vihaan, Jillika, and Jaimini.
Her warm smile, gentle presence, and kind heart will stay with us forever.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on July 24, 2026 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg Virginia, 20175
