Tai Feng Cheng Hsiao's Obituary
TAI FENG CHENG HSIAO, 72 of Leesburg, Virginia died on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023.
Tai Feng was born in Taiwan May, 25 1950, on the eve of Chinese New Year. Her family had fled to Taiwan from China with Chiang-Kai-Shek’s’ army following the Chinese Revolution in 1949. Tai Feng taught school for twelve years in Taiwan and enjoyed teaching very much.
In 1969 she immigrated to the United States with other members of her family. She started working in family restaurants, finally managing the Mandarin Express in Leesburg as part owner. Tai Feng was a hard worker, always welcoming and helping people while ultimately raising her family by herself. After selling the restaurant, she became a certified care giver. She provided care for her mother for ten years until she passed at 103 years of age.
Tai Feng always thought of others before herself and was a very caring person. She liked to watch movies, eat out, and travel. She liked to spend time with friends and family, enjoying activities such as attending car shows.
She had a beautiful laugh and was great fun to be around. She would listen to you even if she didn’t care about what you were saying, just so you would have someone to talk to. If there were more people in the world like Tai Feng, it would be a better world. She did her best to make an indelible mark on it, and will be sorely missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know her.
Tai Feng is survived by her partner Roger Crutchfield, son, Ronny Cheng(Josefina), daughter, Christy Alderink(Jonathan), siblings, Hsiao-Yun Hsiao, Hsiao-Fen Roy, Christina Hsiao, Hsiao Ming, and Tom Hsiao; brother in law, Ronald G.
