After his military service, Terry worked for Honeywell Information Systems, where he served as a manager of the training division.
Terry and Carol were married in 1967 and lived in Washington, DC. Shortly after the birth of their son Patrick at nearby Georgetown Hospital, the family moved to Loudoun County in 1970. Their daughter, Maureen, was subsequently born in Leesburg. Following a period in Phoenix, Arizona, Terry and Carol returned to Leesburg, where they have resided for the past 27 years.
