Thelma Jean Gamble's Obituary
Thelma Jean (Wood) Gamble, 84, passed away peacefully in northern Virginia at the Inova Fairfax Hospital on Friday, January 15, 2021. Jean was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Isaac Robert Wood, Jr. and the late Notie Lee (Farley) Wood. Although born in Lebanon, Jean spent the largest portion of her life growing up in Baxter, Tennessee. In her later years, she lived in Texas, and then moved to the Northern Virginia area.
Ms. Gamble is survived by her 5 children and their families: daughter Sandra Ann Corson, sons Donald Wharton Gamble, Jr. (Shree), James Michael Gamble (Lynn), Richard Alan Gamble (Debbie), Robert Byron Gamble (Judy), as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A short and private service will be held Friday January 22nd, 2021, after which her ashes will be returned to Cookeville, Tennessee to reside next to her parents.
