Thelma Lowery's Obituary
Thelma Marie (Hanvey) Lowery, 63, of Point Of Rocks, MD died Friday, November 17, 2006, at North Hampton Manor in Frederick, Maryland. Born on October 19, 1943 in Lovettsville, VA. She was a daughter of the late Oliver Franklin Hanvey and the late Catherine (Fry) Hanvey. Mrs. Lowery had several jobs including babysitting, house keeping and sales clerk for local stores. She most recently enjoyed being an Avon Representative. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents whom she was raised by Fred and Pearl Fry.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Thomas Lowery, of Point of Rocks, MD; her sister, Catherine (Hanvey) Pugh & her husband Clifton of Lynhurst, VA, her brothers, Oliver Hanvey, Jr. of Laurel, MD, and Frederick Lee Hanvey and his wife Hilda of Emittsburg, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA 20180. Graveside services and Interment will be held at Lovettsville Union Cemetery at 1:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2006.
