THELMA WINSTON's Obituary
THELMA WINSTON, 90, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on January 22, 2024.
Thelma was born on September 1, 1933, in Leesburg, VA, to loving parents the late Edward Minor Brown Sr. and Carrie V. Randall. She was a graduate of Douglas High School in 1953. She was also a long-time member of the Providence Baptist Church in Leesburg, VA. She was baptized in 1949 by Rev. Chapman.
Prior to retiring on June 1, 1991, she worked for the Loudoun County government as a Custodian.
She is predeceased by her husband Nathaniel Gibson Winston and son Clinton Brown. As well as her siblings, Edward Brown Jr., and Gladys Jackson.
Thelma is survived by her children Reginald Brown Sr. (Cynthia), Benita Lynn Smith (Rene), Pamela Marie Brown (Arthur), Jerry Edward Glenn (Jennifer), and one daughter-in-law, Karen Brown.
Her survivors also include nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, cousins, and other family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel on January 31st, 2024, from 10:00 am – 11:00am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am, with Rev. Jeffery Berry officiating.
Thelma will be interred at Quantico National Cemetery on January 31, 2024, at 2:00pm.
