Thomas E. DeSimone's Obituary
THOMAS E. DeSIMONE, 79, of Leisure World of Virginia at Lansdowne, formerly of Blue Bell, PA for 28 years, has passed away on Saturday January 14th 2012. Mr. Desimone was born March 27th 1932 in Providence, RI to the late Dominic and Emily Palumbo DeSimone. He received his bachelor’s degree at West Point with the class of 1954 and then served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. DeSimone worked with Rohm & Haas in Philadelphia, PA until 1982 when he founded DeSimone Associates, a plastics and adhesives manufacturing company, in Philadelphia.
Mr. DeSimone is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie S. DeSimone of Lansdowne; four children: Elizabeth Reed of Winchester, VA, Catherine D. Piciulo of No. Tonawanda, NY, Thomas E. DeSimone, Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, David A. DeSimone of Lansdowne; a sister: Claudia Ligarde of Austin, TX; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 6-8pm at the Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway in Sterling, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Tuesday morning at 10:00am. Interment will be held privately in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
