THOMAS PATRICK HUGHES's Obituary
Thomas Patrick Hughes (Tommy), age 62 from Alexandria, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He grew up in the Rosehill subdivision, and went to Thomas A. Edison High School, and graduated in the Class of 1978. He was an amazing athlete as a Pole Vaulter, and was loved and admired by all his friends. He was retired from the Local 602 Steamfitter’s Union as an HVAC Journeyman, and he also loved playing golf, riding motorcycles, and going to Redskins games.
Tommy was preceded in death behind his father Darwin Hughes, mother Margaret Hughes, and brother Dale Hughes. Tommy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marita Zalamia-Hughes, brother Michael Hughes, sister Debbie Hughes, nephew Max Hughes, nieces Molly Hughes, Kate Thompson, Erika Valentine, and daughter Ashley Hughes.
A Celebration of Life will be held SATURDAY, MARCH 5 FROM 1:00 PM TO 5:00 PM ET, at the
Mills Recreation Center in Ashburn Village 43895 Grottoes Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147.
