Thomas Martin Jager's Obituary
Thomas Martin Jager, 59, passed away in Ashburn, Virginia, on November 2, 2025, after a difficult battle with ALS.
Known to his family as Martin, he was born on September 13, 1966, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Thomas and Patricia Jager. He grew up with his four siblings Lisa, Ben, Veronica, and Kathryn.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was an avid sports fan, proudly cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Capitals. He loved live music, especially the Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, and Dave Matthews. Tom loved to explore new places from local wineries to far-away destinations, with Alaska being his most recent trip. Some of his happiest moments were spent off-roading through the mountains in his Jeep with his family and dog, Zoe.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sherry, his children Hope (and her husband, Isa), Hallie, Ryan, and Lauren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service honoring Tom’s life on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Foundation in Tom’s memory.
