Thomas Sullivan's Obituary
THOMAS EDWARD SULLIVAN, 50, of Leesburg, Virginia died suddenly on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Mr. Sullivan was born September 27th 1959 in Gulfport, Mississippi to the late William J. and Mary D. Rutherford Sullivan. He was raised in Temple Hills, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia and played football at Groveton High School until graduating with the class of 1977. He graduated Marymount University in Arlington. Mr. Sullivan is a Hall of Fame member of the Washington Rugby Football Club. He loved playing rugby and had coached boy’s rugby U-14. Mr. Sullivan was a sports fanatic who loved the Redskins and the Wizards. He enjoyed playing golf and had a fond appreciation for fine automobiles. But, above all he loved watching his daughters develop their athletic and artistic skills to his delight. Mr. Sullivan was presently working as an Account Support Manager for NCR Corporation, previous employers included E*Trade Financial, American Trucking Association and United Way of America.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years Jessica Ellen White Sullivan of Leesburg; two daughters: Mary Katherine Sullivan and Madeleine Frances Sullivan both of Leesburg; eight siblings: Sheila Sullivan of Fairfax, VA, Trish Smith of Fairfax, Bill Sullivan of Washington, DC, Colleen Sullivan of Ashburn, John Sullivan of Memphis, TN, Anne Sullivan of Garland, TX, Sean Sullivan of Grand Prairie, TX, Beth Sullivan of Pacific Palisades, CA; his mother and father in law: Patrick and Mary White of Shaker Heights, OH and a host of other relatives and friends. His sister Mary Jane Sullivan predeceased him.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 17th 2010 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Thursday, February 18th at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 101 Oak Crest Manor Drive in Leesburg. Interment will be on Monday, February 22 2010 at 11:00am in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
