I worked with Tom at American Fletcher/Bank One. He was one of the most intelligent men I ever worked with and just a nice guy.

Tom was a great friend and team mate at work I worked with Tom at Banc One Corp and at Citizens Bank in Michigan. He had a great sense of humor and his knowledge of banking was amazing. He was always there to help me with tough sitiuations at work and was also concerned and interested in my family (working all the hours we did). We still touched base from time to time over the past few years and I will miss those conversations. I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing. I met him through his work at Citizens Bank in Michigan and we so much enjoyed working with him and more importantly, learning from him. I worked with Tom many time at Banc One Corporation in Ohio and Indiana and at Citizens Bank in Michigan. His knowledge of banking was broad and deep, he was always ready to help out when needed and he had a sense of humor second to none. So sorry to here about Tom's passing. I appreciated Tom's friendship and all that he taught me here at the bank for the few years that we worked together. I will always remember Tom. My wife refers to him as the Peanut Man, because for a while there Tom always had a bag of peanuts available.
Don't know if you remember JoEllen and I from Delaware, Oh. You and Tom took us out to dinner at the Macaroni Grill when Tom had a condo in Columbus.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news. My deepest sympathies. Tom was a wonderful man, husband, father, and grandfather from what I saw when you lived in Indianapolis. He was always friendly and such a warm, welcoming host when I dropped by when you lived in Admiral's Pt. I remember his amazement when I told him my family and I had stopped in Newberry for lunch the first summer we went up to the UP. Jane, you had mentioned Tom was from there. My husband loves to visit Whitefish Pt. and visit the nature and beauty of the UP. I've thought about you often since you retired and left Indy. I retired this spring. Keep in touch. I was so sorry to hear of the news. Tom and I worked together at Bank One and Citizens for a number of years and he was always there for me, personally, and for the team. I miss him at work and I am sure his family misses him even more. Please know, he touched many of us at Bank One and Citizens and we still talk about Tom, how much he knew, how great he was as a team player, how funny he could be in stress times, and how he always delivered. We knew Tom as the person to turn to when we could not figure things out - he would. He was known by many as the best at disecting a balance sheet and giving us all many quips on his true feelings about a potential acquisition. I wish the family all the best and will pray for better times.

Tom was a great boss, and a wonderful teacher. I will always remember Tom dressed as Santa for Bank One's Kids Christmas party, and humor and joy he invested in the role.
