Todd Douglas Batt's Obituary
Todd Douglas Batt
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb 4, 2018, after a relatively fast but valiant fight with ALS. He is survived by his wife Michelle and cherished daughter Emma. He is also survived by his brother Jerry (Chris), sister Bonny (Tom), niece Melissa (Deepak), nephews Evan (Sally) and Justin (Nicole) and their beautiful families, his aunt Juanita, aunt Betty, and several amazing cousins. Preceded in death by his mother Pauline and father Reed.
Known as “Battman” by the many who loved him, Todd had an iconic sense of humor and a great sense of grace. He had a brilliant mind that was a blend of analytical smarts and creative wit. Todd was a man for all seasons, knowing what people needed and how to help all those around him. He always knew the right words to say, serious or not. He was bigger than life and a joy to be with. He abundantly loved his family and friends.
Todd’s hopes and dreams were centered on their daughter Emma, her life, faith, and future. A special bond existed between Todd and Emma - one that will last forever. His Christian faith guided him and their family along the way in life and in his illness. God provided so many blessings in their lives throughout the good and bad times.
Taken far too young, Todd was a fighter. He worked tirelessly to find a way to beat ALS. He, his family, and friends passionately worked to prevail until the end. Rest in peace sweet Todd, until we meet again.
