Tony Phillips' Obituary
Mr. Tony Raphael Phillips, 49, of Leesburg, VA, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at home. Mr. Phillips was born on May 15, 1959 in Greensboro, NC. A son of the late Oliver Raphael Phillips and the late Mary Alice Moragne Phillips. Mr. Phillips served his country in the US Army. He has lived in Northern VA since 2002. Tony worked for Boat US in Alexandria as a Custodian. He will be remembered as a bookworm for his love of reading.
He is survived his wife Chowan Burwell-Phillips of Leesburg, VA; three children: TraVares Bulnes of CA, Nailah Zakiya Phillips of Leesburg, Naeem Raphael Phillips of Leesburg, VA. He is also survived by his guardian mother: Yvonne M. Smith of Ashburn, VA, his siblings: Bruce Raynard Phillips of Greenboro, NC, Sherri Phillips Brown of Ashburn, VA, and Michael Phillips of Greensboro, NC, and Misty Phillips of SC; plus numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 12 to 1 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175 where funeral services will follow on Saturday, at 1pm.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
