Vincent Earl Scott's Obituary
Vincent Earl Scott was born on June 15th, 1980 in Fairfax, Virginia to the late Randolph and Linda Scott. He passed peacefully on March 21st following an 8-month battle with cancer. Vincent was ready and his faith was absolute.
In his final days, the fullness of his life became evident to him. He figured out what we all knew, despite his short 36 years on earth, he had an immense impact on others.
His greatest gift was believing in others and encouraging us to believe in ourselves. The words, “He made me a better person”, echo within the incredible outpouring of love for him.
As a child, Vincent loved singing and performing, and he always had to have the last word. He graduated from Herndon High School in 1998 and went on to earn his Bachelors’ Degree from Morgan State University and a Master’s Degree from Trinity Washington University.
Vincent joined the leadership team at Keller Williams Realty Centre in 2007. He quickly became the heart and soul of the company. He became an exceptional leader and people were drawn to follow him because of who he was and what he represented.
He showed an uncanny ability to connect with people by being authentic and caring. He loved and encouraged us despite our imperfections. He believed that everyone has a story and he listened for them with his heart.
He had a passion for learning and improving himself so that he had more to give to others. He worshipped his mother. Perhaps he wanted to grow most for her and her legacy.
His smile would light up a room. He was the life of the party and loved to dance. Anything small and valuable, he quickly lost. Taxi drivers must have loved him.
He loved to travel to warm places with beaches. He was known to buy all new clothes for the trip….usually the day of travel, because last minute chaos was his thing.
Vincent leaves to cherish his loving memory his grandmother Bernice Scott, two brothers Kevin Jackson (Cindy) and Christopher Scott (Nickya), two Aunts Carolyn Jefferies (Darvin) and Cynthia Watson (William), six Uncles Robert R. Scott, Sr. (Shelley), James Scott, Jr. (Laverne), Gregory Scott, Larry Scott, Danny Scott (Myla), and Jerome Scott (Christy), one stepsister, Karen Scott as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends, his massive and adoring KW work family and his best friend Meko Cameron.
Vincent will be deeply missed by all who know and love him, yet God’s Will is perfect and He has chosen to call Vincent to a higher purpose in heaven. As his legacy, Vincent asked that you believe in yourself and know that you can do anything.
