Vincenzo Sandro Carinelli's Obituary
Vincenzo (Vinny) Carinelli, 68, of Martinsburg, West Virginia passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. Born in Roma, Italy, Vinny came to the United States and lived in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Charlestown High School and after high school went into a lifelong career working in Security and law enforcement throughout Massachusetts, Virginia, and West Virginia. Upon his death, Vinny was living in Martinsburg, West Virginia where he was a member of Airborne Church and most knew him by “Cousin Vinny”. If Vinny was in a room, you knew he was there from his larger-than-life personality. He was full of love and showed his love by his extreme generosity to everyone around him. He always had gifts to give out and loved to make people smile and laugh. He truly brought JOY everywhere he went.
In Vinny’s free time he loved to travel, watch movies, listen to music, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a firm believer in FAMILY and invested his time, talent and energy into preserving family unity.
Vinny is survived by Susan Carinelli, his wife, two daughters Lisa Carinelli and Rosanna Carinelli, son Vincenzo Carinelli Jr of Leesburg, VA, (from his ex-wife Mulumebet Harris,) his step-daughters Brittany Long (Husband James Long) and Ashley Price (Husband Ben Price), and step-sons Robert Perdue (Wife Lindsay Perdue) and Ethan Perdue (Wife Kasey Perdue). Vinny is also survived by his Ethiopian nephews and nieces Abail and Raku Frew, Eyo and Nebi Zewdineh, Yonael and Basliel Aynalem, Kidus, Beruke, Hayal and Elilta Yosief and Robbie and Lily Dawit.
Outside of his children, Vinny’s pride was his many grandchildren. He also was survived by his sisters Nadia Carinelli, Liz Peterson Carinelli, and Vilma Murray and many other extended family members.
The family will receive guests on Saturday September 7, 2024 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
