Virginia Nordstrom's Obituary
Virginia Nordstrom, 79, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on May 25, 2008. She was born in Chicago, IL, to Jakob and Minnie Van Dam. She married her husband Robert, a conductor for the Rock Island Railroad, and they raised a family in Chicago until their retirement to Tampa, FL in 1993. Always willing to help others, she was an active volunteer at University Community Hospital – Carrollwood in Tampa, FL for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1996. She is survived by her children, Barbara Blair, and her husband, Oakley of Leesburg, VA, and David Nordstrom and his wife, Jeannie of Canal Winchester, OH; four grandchildren, Oakley Blair, III of Leesburg, VA Jennifer Blair of Branford, CT, and Jakob and Jason Nordstrom of Tampa, FL; and one sister, Dolores Van Dam of Lansdowne, VA.
Services and interment will be held privately at a later date.
Donations may be made in Mrs. Nordstrom’s memory to Loudoun Habitat for Humanity or to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.
