Virginia E. Frye's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Frye, 88, formerly of Jefferson and Petersville, Maryland, passed
away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Northampton Manor Health Care
Center, Frederick, Maryland, where she had been a resident for nearly four years. She
was the wife of the late Arthur F. Frye, who passed away in August 1960.
Born September 20, 1917, in Lovettsville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late
Keeler and Mary W. Lynn Cooper. She was a homemaker and, in her younger years, attended Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, Lovettsville, Virginia. She is
survived by her children, Dorothy L. Stine and husband Meredith, of Jefferson;
Howard F. Frye, of Brunswick; and Charles Junior Frye and wife Chick, of Knoxville;
her brother Charles J. Cooper and wife Catherine, of Leesburg; four grandchildren,
Karen Summers, Diane Whitley, Rhonda Souers, and Keith Frye, three great-grandchildren, Dawn Smith, Justin Smith and Keith Frye, Jr.; and numerous nieces,
nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise R. Garrott, and three brothers, Robert, Sylvester and Thurston Cooper. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel (formerly Browns), 34 E. Broad Way, Lovettsville, Virginia, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, with the Rev. Virginia K. Price of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jefferson, officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Michael Summers, Glenn Whitley, Luther “Sonny” Souers, Justin Smith, Keith Frye, and Wayne Garrott.
