Virginia Elam Colenda's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Elam Colenda, age 89 of Potomac Falls, Virginia died on Friday, August 12, 2011.
Virginia was born on Saturday, March 4, 1922 in South Hill, VA. She was the daughter of the late Willie Lew Elam and the late Lillie Puryear .
Mrs. Colenda was predeceased by her husband the late Capt. Frank Colenda Ret. USN in 2001.
She is survived by her four children, Carol Colenda of Austin, TX, Paige C. Counts of Vienna, VA, Brinn Colenda of Angel Fire, NM, and Kelly Colenda of McLean, VA; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and her brother-in-law: Capt. Herbert Colenda, Ret. USN.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
